Midseason Playoff Forecast

Here's my forecast for the NFL:
NFC
1. South: Panthers- With the return of Jake Delhomme and the acquiring of D.J. Hackett, the Panthers have become a top elite team
2. East: Giants- Romo's injury, the good start, and the weak schedule help here. Eli isn't consistent enough for them to be no. 1 though.
3. North: Vikings- This division is anyone's game- anyone except the Lions, that is- anyway the Vikes win out because of the strong defense. None of these teams have fancy offenses, but the Vikings have Adrian Peterson.
4. West: Cardinals- This was, by far, my easiest pick. The competetion is far too weak. The Seahawks rank 31st in total offense. The 49ers were so depleted they hired TWO LIONS. The Rams just flat out stink.
5. Wild Card: Packers- Aaron Rodgers has defied all odds and made a good replacement for Brett Favre. This team was nearly my selection for division winner.
6. Wild Card: Redskins- This could be the pick I regret the most. When Tony Romo returns the Cowboys will make plenty of noise. But I think it's too late.
AFC
1. South: Titans- I don't expect 16-0 here, but the Titans still take the top spot.
2. North: Steelers- If not for the tough schedule, this would be my top team. I expect them to spoil the Titans perfect season if someone else hasn't by then.
3. East: Patriots- The Bills are on the decline, and the Pats have already proven their better than the Jets. The Dolphins will contend, but they won't win.
4. West: Chargers- All the teams in this division are horrible. But someone has to win it.
5. Wild Card: Colts- Manning is back on track, but the Titans pretty much have the division wrapped up
6. Wild Card: Jets- Brett Favre can't make a team great all on his own, but he was able to make this team fairly good, and in a crapshoot league, fairly good makes the playoffs.
Playoffs
Round One
Vikings over Redskins
Packers over Cardinals
Patriots over Jets
Colts over Chargers
Round Two
Panthers over Packers
Vikings upset Giants
Colts upset Titans
Steelers over Patriots
Conference Championships
Panthers over Vikings
Colts upset Steelers
Super Bowl
Panthers vs Colts- who would've thought Manning's 5th seeded Colts would go this far? Most of the time, there is one team that comes from nowhere. The Colts are the right team. They started out slow, but are now back on track. This will be a good shootout between Jake Delhomme and America's quarterback. Each team has Super Bowl experience. Want my pick? here it is: Colts 31, Panthers 28
