They seem to look better every game. Yet, every time, they somehow fall. The Detroit Lions lost to the Carolina Panthers 31-22 on Sunday. It looked good. The Lions, trailing 24-16, led a drive downfield for a touchdown. It looked as if they might win. They missed the two-point conversion, but then forced a three-and-out. Then, almost immediately, Daunte Culpepper threw an interception which ultimately led to another Panthers touchdown. Two games, and this guy looks like he already Lionized. To become a Lion, or "Lionize" one must do good, but then terrible in quarter 4.
Okay, back to the loss. With that defeat, our Lions are now 0-10, so, once again, we must ask ourselves: Will they lose all 16? I'd still say no. Time is running out, but the Lions will win somehow. 6 games are plenty. Maybe they'll play better. Maybe they'll be overlooked. Maybe they'll get lucky. However, the odds are starting to change. Right now I'd say they are about 70-30, with 70 being the chance of winning one. This is the Lions, though.
